Beetle is a beetle from Kubo and the Two Strings. He is one of Kubo's allies. He is voiced by Matthew McConaughey. who also played Buster Moon in Sing. and Tripp in Failure to Launch.
Overview
Beetle believes that he was once a legendary samurai who lived and fought alongside Hanzo, Kubo's father. Have been cursed many years prior to the events of the movie, he suffers from amnesia but remains jolly and good-natured. He jumped at the chance to "find his destiny" when he discovered Kubo was his master's son, and although Monkey was suspicious at first, she begrudgingly allowed him to join their party and came to find him as a friend.
Beetle loves Kubo very much and will do anything to protect him from the Moon Kingdom and it's ruthless family.

- Around the end of the movie, it is revealed that Beetle is actually Hanzo.
- There is also a character in Overwatch named Hanzo.
- The last fact is ironic, seeing as both the characters are named Hanzo, and both wield bows. But technically, it is Beetle that has the bow.
- It is also to be noted that both characters look very similar to each other.
